  • 2001-2015 Head of development optics at Polytec GmbH.
  • Since 2015 Professorship for metrology at TU Clausthal.
  • Since 2017 Managing Director of the Institute for Electrical Information Technology at the TU Clausthal
  • Since 2020 Subject advisor for the Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering and the Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology
  • Since 2022 Chairman of the board of the Working Group of University Teachers of Measurement Technology  (Arbeitskreis der Hochschullehrer für Messtechnik AHMT)
